It is strongly recommended that our highly trained and experienced engineering and technical planning teams are employed to plan and organise your lifting operation. Utilising mobile cranes requires specialist knowledge to ensure a safe and accurate service delivery. Small Cranes has a bank of suitably trained and qualified individuals and teams that can be hired or called upon to assist in fully controlled contract lifts.

Appointed Person (as described in BS7121 pt1 General) –
The person responsible for the safe planning, control and execution of the lifting operation and producing the safe system of work (Method Statement)

Lift / Crane Supervisor –
The person responsible for supervising the lifting operation and safely operating the safe system of work (Method Statement)

Slinger Signaller –
The person responsible for attaching / detaching the load to and from the crane and directing crane movements during the lifting operation.
Please be aware that supporting heavy transport may be required when delivering the larger of our small cranes, There must be sufficient room for the delivery of ancillaries when setting up these machines.
