Management Responsibilities

Our appointed Health and Safety Operations Director, Dale McDonald who along with his team Adrian Cueto, (Quality Manager), Mark Woods, (Training Manager) and Alan Landers ( Maintenance Manager) will plan, review, and continuously improve health and safety, training, service delivery, processes, and procedures within the business. I have appointed the operations management team representatives to ensure the quality of our service and compliance too legislative, company process and procedural requirements as well as stakeholder interests. This policy has been formulated to meet the requirements of BS EN ISO 9001:2015 and our integrated management system.

We are committed to providing well trained and competent people to operate our plant and equipment and perform their duties and job roles as required.

Our customers will be provided with well-maintained equipment that is safe and capable of completing the tasks required with a commitment to reducing downtime through breakdowns.

Ensuring that customer requirements are ascertained correctly, and orders processed in a fashion that will result in our service being delivered on time with the correct equipment specifications.

Our core business is considered safety critical. Therefore, the occupational health of our employees is of the upmost importance. Baldwins has committed to monitoring the health of its employees by means of regular medical screenings and by monitoring, maintaining, and improving company facilities.

Baldwins employees are its greatest asset, with that in mind the company has committed itself to reducing accidents incidents and occupational health occurrences linked with company activities. All incidents are appropriately investigated, and root cause found to put control measures both short term and long term to prevent reoccurrence.

The company will ensure that our operations are sustainable considering existing technologies and the current capabilities of the company.  A commitment to reducing waste to landfill, raw material uses and increasing the re use or recycling of our waste products.

Baldwins will assess the environmental aspects and impacts of its activities in depot, on site and in transit. The company will monitor and review these regularly to determine its continued impact with a view to reducing its effect on the environment

The company will do this by:

  • Maintaining a management structure which embeds a working culture that encourages active participation, of all our employees, in the continued development of policy, processes and procedures to meet the requirements of current ISO Standards.
  • Make available sufficient resources to achieve a high standard of safety, health, environment, and quality so far as is reasonably practicable throughout the company reducing accidents and incidents, non-conformance and improving the performance of the company in all areas of operation considering customer and stakeholder requirements.
  • Ensuring we match or exceed the requirements of all relevant legislation, codes of practice and client’s
  • Identifying areas of risk within the business, with the help of our employees, engaging practical measures to remove, control or reduce their likelihood.
  • Actively participate with customers and other organisations to promote the highest standards of safety, health, environment, and quality in the provision of our service.
  • Evaluate, Monitor, and annually Review to continuously improve our safety, health, environment, and quality performance. Taking remedial action as necessary where shortfalls and non-conformance are identified.
  • Protect the environment through monitoring & controlling the aspects and impacts of our activities, plant and equipment for their life cycle including disposal, and preventing pollution.
  • Setting specific, measurable, achievable, realistic and time bound objectives and targets (SMART) based on company policy.
  • Where possible Benchmarking internal operations and processes and comparing performance and functions against competitors

These systems are described in the Web based IMS and detailed with the processes and procedures contained within. These policies and arrangements are trained and communicated throughout the company.
