The Baldwins name is synonymous with heavy lifting solutions and crane hire. The Baldwin family has been at the forefront of the lifting industry since 1957.
Baldwins Crane Hire Ltd supports all sectors of industry with lifting solutions for infrastructure development and successful project completion. We pride ourselves in being a versatile asset for our clients, able to design lifts successfully completing day to day tasks such as routine maintenance through to specialist heavy lift design, and implementation on nuclear installations.
Today, the company led by Executive Chairman Richard Baldwin, is regarded a major heavy lifting force on the UK; we have a fleet that range from 25 to 1250 tonne lifting capacity. Our Depots are strategically placed to enable us to offer our service throughout the UK at a moment’s notice.

Our dedicated QSHET team integrate with each of the divisions actively providing best practice solutions, and legislative guidance applicable to our operations within the company and to our clients.
Heavily focused on providing the safest most reliable fleet of cranes in the UK, Baldwins dedicated maintenance team work with each division to ensure planned maintenance schedules are upheld and rigorous safety inspections are performed, combined with timely issue resolution keeping our cranes available for our clients who can rely on our fleet to perform.
Operating an ISO certificated Quality Management System we aim to provide the best service 24 hours a day 365 days of the year.
